01.Overview
Woven is a small but growing nonprofit operating in Rockland County, NY, with a team of four people supporting students in two middle schools and two high schools. Their NICE program brings restorative practices directly into school buildings, giving students, teachers, and administrators tools that go beyond traditional discipline.
When it became clear their existing website was holding back both donor engagement and community trust, they turned to SoftDoes for a full rebuild.
The result was a faster, cleaner, more visually driven site that better reflects the energy of their mission and makes it simple for donors and schools alike to understand, connect, and give.
"SoftDoes took their time to listen to us, then figured out what they could offer. That was really meaningful."
-Dana Pastran, Program Lead, Woven / NICE
02.Client background
Woven runs the NICE program, a school-based initiative that embeds restorative practices into the daily lives of students and educators in Rockland County, NY.
With a core team of four and plans to expand into additional districts, the organization occupies a meaningful space: working inside schools that are actively looking for alternatives to punitive discipline.
Most of the people Woven serves, and most of those donating to support that work, are not deeply tech-savvy. Their digital presence needed to reflect that reality: clear, welcoming, and simple to navigate.
03.Challenge & solution
For a nonprofit relying heavily on donations and grant support, Woven's website had become a real liability. People couldn't find the donation page.
The site wasn't visually engaging. Former team members were still pictured. Contact forms were hard to use. And the overall impression didn't reflect the quality or warmth of the program itself.
The core issues:
Donors were landing on a site with no clear path to give
The visual design was not compelling enough to build trust or drive action
Navigation made it difficult to find key information about services
Outdated content, including departed team members, was still live
The contact form was confusing, costing the organization inbound inquiries
The site didn't reflect the growth Woven had achieved or the expansion it was planning
SoftDoes delivered a complete website rebuild for Woven, creating a visual, easy-to-navigate site designed specifically for a non-tech audience trying to find, understand, and support a mission-driven program.
The new site puts the donation experience front and center, and makes every key interaction frictionless:
Redesigned donation flow with improved visibility and a clear, welcoming path to give
New contact form with a services dropdown that takes under two minutes to complete
Updated team section reflecting current staff
Student and teacher testimonials added to build trust and communicate program impact
Cleaner navigation that surfaces NICE program services clearly
Visual design aligned with Woven's art-forward, community-centered identity
04.Results
The rebuild gave Woven a digital home that works as hard as their team does.
Donation page is now easy to find and visually compelling
Contact form completion time reduced to under two minutes
Site navigation restructured for low-tech users across all audiences
Updated content accurately reflects current team and program
Student and teacher quotes now anchor the site's credibility
Woven is now positioned to pitch new school districts with a web presence behind them
"I will highly recommend SoftDoes. Communication was easy, it was fast, and the whole process was smooth."
-Dana Pastran, Program Lead, Woven / NICE
